The Duchess Rixa von Oldenburg
was born in Germany.
As a descendant of an Imperial and Royal family,
she is linked to all major Royal Families of Europe.
By her father, HH the Duke Friedrich-August von Oldenburg
she is linked to the Royal Families of Greece, Denmark, Russia,
Belgium, Bulgaria, Spain, Romania, Holland, and dynasties of central Europe.
By her mother, born HRH the Princess Marie Cécile of Prussia
she is a direct descend of Queen Victoria of England,
the Kaiser Guillaume II (Emperor of Germany),
the Emperor Frédéric le Grand, King of Prussia,
as well as the Tsar Alexander II of Russia
Rixa settled in Paris
to study at the “Chambre Syndicale de la Haute Couture Parisienne”
and became a fashion designer.
She collaborated with several ‘Maisons de Couture’
such as Givenchy, Nina Ricci, Paco Rabanne, Hermès, Pierre Cardin,
Hanro and Jean-Claude Perrin.
She created 'Le Bal de Paris’ and ‘Le Bal de la Riviera’
which helped her to collect funds for charitable organisations
such as The King Hussein Foundation, Care France,
L'Ordre de Malte, l'Amade,
Gala de la Rose Bulgare Jeune J'écoute and Unesco.
