Khabarovsk is the 26th largest city of Russia. It is the largest city and the administrative center of Khabarovsk Krai. It is located 30 kilometers from the Chinese border, at the confluence of the Amur and Ussuri Rivers, about 800 kilometers north of Vladivostok. The lands near the confluence of the Ussuri and the Amur Rivers, where today's Khabarovsk stands, have been populated for many centuries by Tungusic people. |
